REST API is one of the most common software architectures for "web services" (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) It's a major backbone of some of the big websites. And it's your key into talking to those websites and getting your job done.

Still looking for a something to do over the Summer? Looking to improve your experience and resume? Would you like to be able to place the name "Google" on your resume? Then you should consider applying and participating in Google Summer of Code.

Google Summer of Code is a program that offers stipends for student developers to write code for various open source projects. Google will only be accepting applications from 3/23 - 4/3 (less than a week away and less than two weeks long) so it's time to get ready to apply!

This event is for ACM members and all CSE faculty! In lieu of the end of semester dinner last December we are holding an early social night at Buffalo Wild Wings in East Lansing. Hang out with friends and get to know the CSE faculty outside of class! Food will be provided by ACM, but you must buy your own drinks. Hope to see you there!
